My name is Alexandra. My friends call me Ale (like Ali). I collect hobbies like its going out of style. My sweet husband puts up with my art projects that spill into every corner of our charming home in Portland, Oregon. In my professional life, I’m a Chef, trained in French cuisine & Pastry Arts. Recently, I’ve left the hustle and bustle of the kitchen behind to become a stay at home mom, to our daughter, Willow. We have a very happy little boston terrier named Luna. I’m passionate about a lot of things, and outspoken about nearly all of them. I’m a pro-choice, pro-family feminist trying to leave things better than they were when I found them. That said, I’m occasionally prone to snark attacks, colorful language and weird humor.I drink entirely too much coffee. I long for the day we can buy some land in the country and spend our days surrounded by chickens, flowers and acres of strawberries. Until then, we’re handcrafting a life in our offbeat, quirky city.
Hello! Your quilts are amazing and incredibly inspiring. I am also an ex pastry chef turned quilter from the pacific northwest. I found that for me quilting satisfies the same part of my brain that baking once did. Must be all that math we do!
Such a great explanation of so many of us these days: “pro-family feminist”. I would definitely use those words to help describe me!
Awesome hanging out with you today! ^^
The place I mentioned that is super delish and worth the drive: http://navidioils.com/
Some of the best flavors they didn’t have on the web so if you have the time it’s worth a visit out there. They let you sample everything they sell.
Their website has me salivating! And today was so wonderful, I forgot how great adult conversation is! Can’t wait until the next “sew-in”!!
Hi, nice to meet you !
